About Ojaswi

I enjoy bringing together ecology, research, data science, and diverse value perspectives to provide insights and meaningful approaches to conservation and sustainability.

My background spans biotechnology, ecology, and biodiversity assessment, with experience designing data-driven workflows and collaborating across scientific and policy contexts. Using DNA identification techniques to answer systematic ecological question during my time at a disease ecology lab sparked my fascination with bridging fields that don't always speak the same language. Current biodiversity challenges rarely sit neatly within one discipline โ€” and neither do I.

Today, I am driven to bridge the disconnect between nature and people by rethinking the tools that inform conservation research and policy by centring not just species and ecosystems, but the lived values and relationships that make nature meaningful. My work is driven by a desire to contribute to research and decision-making processes that are evidence-based, collaborative, and grounded in societal relevance.
